MAXIMA Ultragreen is a quality monofilament line suited for a variety of freshwater and general saltwater fishing. This line becomes virtually invisible under water, particularly in freshwater and inshore coastal waters. Ultragreen is soft yet retains its tough, high durability finish for excellent abrasion resistance.

Monofilament or nylon fishing line is constructed by heating a mixture of polymers to fluid and then extruded through tiny holes to form strands of fishing line. The size of the hole used dictates the diameter of the line and hence contributes to the line’s breaking strain. The strands of line are cooled until they set and they are wound onto spools. The different mix of chemicals used in constructing monofilament line dictates the characteristics of the line.
